FAQ
The number of pressed edible flowers you need to decorate your cake depends on a number of factors including the required density, the size of the cake and the type of flowers.
For a typical meadow type arrangement consisting of stems around the edges of the tiers, we recommend using around 3 stems every 10cm of circumference. For each size, this would require the following quantities:
6" - 14 stems
7" - 17 stems
8" - 19 stems
9" - 22 stems
10" - 24 stems
11" - 26 stems
12" - 28 stems
This would provide for a basic arrangement that could be enhanced by the addition of pressed foliage, individual flower heads or petals.

Our flowers are all edible varieties that are widely eaten and they are not treated with any chemicals. As with fresh edible flowers, it is advised that only the petals should actually be eaten, any stems and hard centres should be removed. Dried edible flowers often become unpalatable due to the drying process so are best used as decorations. Please refer to the description of each flower for full details.
Our flowers are grown in a completely natural way, using no chemical sprays or pesticides and we strive to work in harmony with our local environment. We are not permitted to call them organic without being registered with an organic certification scheme such as the soil association.
