Daisies have been consumed as food and medicine since the 15th century. The whole plant including the roots can be eaten and it contains significant quantities of vitamin C. These wild single white edible daisies have small dainty flower heads and the petals have an occasional hint of pink at the edge. The flowers have a mild flavour, paper thin petals and a hard centre.
