Daisies have been consumed as food and medicine and records date back as far as the 15th century. The whole plant including the roots can be eaten and it contains significant quantities of vitamin C. These cultivated daisies have large flower heads with a mix of pink and white petals, a yellow centre, light green stems and an occasional small leaf near the base of the stalk. Best used for decoration only.
