Fennel is a tall perennial herb with feathery bright green leaves and clusters of yellow flowers. It is a wonderfully aromatic plant and the leaves and flowers have a mild taste of aniseed. Whilst technically edible, these individual pressed flowers have a crunchy texture that will not suit delicate bakes so best used as decoration only.
