Primula elatior or Oxlip is native to the UK. It is well known as one of the first wildflowers to bloom in the spring and can be seen growing in hedgerows, woodlands and wild meadows. This tiny laced edible gold lace primrose variety has beautiful, very dark, almost black flowers with a golden centre and laced markings around the edge of the petals.
